A River Runs Through It is the debut album from English singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Nick Saxton, and is available now on all streaming platforms.

Mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios by Christian Wright (Ed Sheeran, Bear's Den, Kawala, Fontaines D.C.), A River Runs Through It is a wide-eyed, emotional, guitar-oriented rock album about the angst of youth, growing up, first-loves and finding resilience.

Combining punchy guitar riffs, powerful boleros and moments of dark introspection, the album features lead singles Aphrodite, Be There, and Still A Child. Aphrodite is described as a shot of indie rock guitar with a hypnotic melody, bearing the hallmarks of The Strokes and 90s Shoegaze, whilst Be There is a palpable roof-raiser with urgent guitars, thundering drums and catchy bass riffs.

Packed with soaring guitar sounds and throbbing beats, the profound lyrics of Still A Child deal with the wresting of independence from parental control. Other album highlights include the euphoric sing-along celebrations of Saturday, with the exhilarating energy of Lonely Hearts Keep Running delivering an irrepressible finale.

Recording the songs has given me a positive focus during these dark times, providing both a welcome distraction, and a sense that better times are coming. I'm immensely proud of them and so happy to finally share them with the world.

Emotion comes as standard with Nick Saxton songs and none more so than Still A Child which taps into the perils of growing up and losing that magic and innocence in the process. Thoughtful as you get this is a singer with a powerful range that might be just that intense on this occasion but I get why it needs to be. He is just one of us but gifted with the platform to put the message in a medium that gives everyone plenty of food for thought.
